Tutoring Yes or No depends on how much you as a parent can guide. But most kids will need guidance and discipline to study for the exam rigorously.
However, I would say mocks are a must do.
My son appeared for 4/5 mock tests that is organised in by a reputed tution in Cheltenham and I took him in one random mock test based on Birmingham Grammar schools (no similarity to Gloucestershire format) just to give him an experience of what to do if you are stuck with a completely unfamiliar exam format.
He had no expectation of what the exam format will be.
