Hi, and welcome to the forum.
Sorry to hear your news: 120.75 is incredibly close
The presence of a newborn is probably not the most unusual of circumstances, so it may not have made much difference to your case, but the Panel will have looked at the Head Teacher’s recommendations and the predictions for your DC’s SATs results.
Most successful SRs have the children performing at Greater Depth throughout KS2 with expected SATs results of 110-120 in all three areas. Was this the case for your dC or were they at “expected” levels with predictions of 100-110? (this may explain the result).
Did you get feedback on the outcome letter as to why the Panel did not recommend success at SR?
Only one section was below (the double-weighted VR score) and her NVR score was good. A 2:2 reccommendation in itself is good.
The question now is to whether you can prove that this assessment was not FCO and how you wish to argue this.
Look at the links below:
info when SR Unsuccessful (scroll down to section D)
https://www.elevenplusexams.co.uk/for ... =65141
You then need to get new evidence that your child’s performance has improved from the time of the SR (liase with school for this)
and read the link about Appeal against Oversubscription:

See what you think. It is hard to win an Appeal after an unsuccessful SR but with her being so, so close I can appreciate you may well wish to try.
