Wow, you have a good chance I'd say. My DS is 14th on the waiting list and is a whisker away from your son's score. His sister is at CCHS next door so logistically, it's far better. However, I think that CRGS will suit him better. Don't forget that there are many who travel into these schools from a wide area - there's a lot to be said for preference.
How has everyone go on with today's waiting lists?
My son's 338.77 which got him into SHSB (OOC) has also placed him eighth (IC) on the waiting list for KEGS. Eight IC boys were accepted last year.
Also it's an odd one if we do have a decision to make as he preferred Southend as a school and is worried about homework/pushing at KEGS - but KEGS was initially first choice mainly because of the travel plus making local friends (and one friend going).
Does anyone with either school have any insights that could help if this decision presents itself?
